Fall finally came to Northern California with much cooler temps, foggy mornings and winds reminding us seasons a-changin !!
We shot at the YOLO facility this month in the ranges COWBOY towns 3 bays. All said we set up a 50 shot match with 6 offhand bell targets mid course where you could take 1 of then kneeling if wishing too.
Some of us were in the gate @ 7:45 getting the set up started in hoping to get the primary match going by the @ 9:00 hour. We manged to do so fairly closely and IIRC we had all shooting the match after @ 20 min of practice by 9:15 there about.
As many arrived the note was FOG ... thin yet present and no real direct sun light to warm things up. We started with only a faint wind that for most was only notable tho not really requiring correction being it was HEAD ON out of the north. Well ... by 10:30 & there after we had ever increasing winds that while still out of the north tumbled off the berms between bays making some correction required near every shot for some, yet others punched there shots right threw it !! By now with wind and the present damp tho thin fog ... DANG it's cold !!!
Here are the results for today's FT match ....

Whats interesting is as the years go by ... we are having fewer & fewer shooters in some classes. Today we had ZERO in the Open class and ZERO in Hunter Piston.
We observed COVID protocol with all wearing face masks except while addressing targets, no food or drink being provided either doing our best in cross contamination should one of us be less fortunate ... nuff said.
Thank You to all who came out and shot ... helped set up and take it all down !!
