SWFA Sale!!!!

The Athlon is also on a good sale if you guys are looking for a FFP variable mag scope…

Wow good call! I just bought the Athlon MIDAS TAC HD 6-24×50. I wonder how they compare. I thought I wanted a 50 objective for new HW98 that's on the way since it has an adjustable cheek rest. But maybe I need the 4-16 for my other rifles as well! Anyone have any feedback on the 4-16x44 or can compare it to the 6-24x50?

How does SWFA generally fare vs Athlons?

UPDATE:

I received my SWFA 12x SS…. I had a tough decision, total first world problems… I have an Airmax 4-12x AO that has literally been a laser… it’s sighted in so damn good that I literally didn’t want to change it… but I tore my TX200 apart to clean and lube it and found that my main piston seal was going… so I had one and replaced it… so I figured, screw it… I’m going to mount this bad boy… I got a Sportsmatch HOP40C solid mount and set it up… I need a ton of elevation to get it to zero at 35 yards.. so just in case any of you were wondering… Get an adjustable mount, so you don’t have this issue.. it’s solid and sights in well, but, I really really really really really wish I would’ve gone with an adjustable mount to utilize the full scope potential.. but I was dialing shots for 48, 55, 63, 71 and 74 yards DEAD ON…. This is impressive… and dialing back to “Zero @ 35 yards” is on point🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Don't you sell the Arkens?

I dunno bout the turrets on the SWFA 3-15x42 but the turrets on the SWFA 20x are completely reliable. I've been cranking on 3 different 20xs for 4+ years and they are all 100% reliable, repeatable, etc. I trust all three of them implicitly, and a couple of them have served time on springers.

As for tactile impression of the turrets on the fixed power 20x, they get better with use. ie, the clicks become more distinct once the initial "tightness" goes away.

My only gripe is the image clarity.
Thanks for backing up what I found as well. I bought the straight SS 20X and I couldn't get a sharp image no matter what I did. SWFA is great and took it back now questions asked. I researched the SS scopes a little more and it seems that the image quality drops off on the 16 and 20X. It seems that the HD models are required for the higher magnification models.
Thanks for posting. Glad to see it wasn't just me.
Be well
Ron
