Tablesaw blades

I have an old aluminum fry pan (11 inch) free hanging (by the handle) from a tree at 70 yards. It's awesome. Clean it up, sand all the old crud off and paint it camo colors. And then paint on a few aim points. It makes a great target, and the sound when it hits is very satisfying, too! .25 JSB Heavy MkIIs leave a nice impression in it as well. Eventually I'll need to pound those out :). I touch up the paint often as well. Just one of several different targets/types I use.

Sprocket, The saw blades are fine. They will take the impact and the pellets should only flatten. Keep in mind I would reconsider if you are shooting a .30 cal or larger and over 50 FPE.
If you put the saw blade behind a piece of plywood with a large enough hole to your liking, or several, it will be safer as the pellets would just bounce off the blade and then the wood. Here is a picture of what you can do in wood. Just need the blade, 2 nuts and a bolt.

I make targets, and this is one I made for me, to tell how far the wind pushes my 12 FPE Styer I use for WFTF practice. I also included a link to a film on how it works and sounds. I used a thick aluminum disk for mine. Have fun building and shooting your saw blade!

Haha, thanks for leaving this at the house Paul. Finally got around to shooting it just a few minutes ago. Has a nice ring to it!
Happy New Year

I would have to change out the scope or rezero it to shoot that far. Got a cheap BSA on her right now. Sounds great at 55 with the Thomas though.

I put it at 55 yds. Shot the 1.5" KZ ....ding......then shot the 1" KZ ...ding.......then the 5/8 KZ... thud...first miss?......then the 3/8 KZ split pellet on the side of the KZ but still made an audible ding. Shot the 3/8 again dead nutz with a prominent ding at 55 yds.

I know there would be no problem to hear it 100 yds! Nice, I might have to put in an order ;-)
