Tac Vector Continental 34mm 5-30x56 for half price really got German glass?

Might take a while since DVOR stated up to 3 weeks for the 34mm. Plus the other Continental 30mm another vendor out of stock but placed order after being offered a good almost half price discount.

I read there was a member who was buying one of the $990 Continental at full price who didn't follow up on whether or not he liked it after raving about prior to buying it. 

I probably would have gotten bashed for even thinking about buying these.

I totally get it about being suckered in to paying full price for over priced Chinese stuff though.

Capitalism and greed at their finest I guess. Sad thing American companies doing this too.

I just feel sorry for every one who pays more than double for what stuffs may be really worth.

A buddy ordered the Arken EP5 supposed to have Jap glass. 

He don't learn his lesson after the Arken SH4 6-24x he told me he got pretty much sucked.

I told him to order one of these 34mm Continental for less than half price instead of paying retail for the EP5. You don't know if the new company operating from out of a recently purchased foreclosed fixer upper house packs up and then disappears any time soon with all the quality control warranty swaps going on.

We shall see which is better.

Or may be take a chance on this Bushnell Trophy XLT 4-12x40 SFP DOA Ballistic reticle for only $88.79 with free shipping and free returns. Description states 14.3 ounces. Photo has BDC reticle contrary to description. 99.9% seller positive. 83 sold more than 10 available. Seller lists as it retails for $239.95? 

I don't know if this one has AO or side focus or not. Nor how close it can focus if it does or doesn't have AO.

I haven't owned any modern Chinese made Bushnell Trophy series scopes but have older Japan made 4-12x40 Trophys with front focus AO that are really nice for $159 or $129 on sale back in the day and they only came with standard plex multi x reticles.

Worst case scenario my guess it's likely similar to the China sourced Vortex cross fire 2 at a much cheaper price.

Either way can't go wrong with free shipping and free returns.

I have the 34mm Vector Continental 3-18 x 50 FFP(very different than the older and less expensive SFP Continental). It's a rock solid performer with very good(not great) glass. It's similar quality and performance to a 30mm Athlon Midas Tac 6-24 x 50. It doesn't have as high magnification, but seems a little brighter and clearer.
There are many quality levels of all scope glass, including "German Schott glass". I doubt this Chinese company(Vector Optics) is using the highest quality "German Schott glass". That being said...
The Continental has one of the best and easiest to use zero stops, and best feeling turrets of any scope I have used. I also really like the reticle. Click values match reticle, holds zero, and I've had NO issues with the one I have.
