I put the screw in the large end not the small end. It's facing the same way as the Taipan reg.I think this could be a clue... I don't think there is any place to screw a machine screw into a Huma reg on the downstream side. If you screwed a machine screw into the little brass nub, the regulator was installed backwards.
Is the spacer aluminum? If so, I'll put it on my lathe and trim it.The Huma plenum spacer is too long as others have mentioned. You can cut it to correct length, but I would contact Talon Tunes first. He might have a correct length plenum spacer and could send it to you.
It should be. I would cut it too since you have a lathe. Is the spacer aluminum? If so, I'll put it on my lathe and trim it.
I sent him an email a minute ago.I remember this issue discussed previously. Seems like Huma would have corrected such a basic error by now. I know that Tony installs them frequently, so he can probably exchange or modify it. But if you have a lathe, better yet.
As far as I can tell, the spacer serves to line up the vent hole in the air tank with the vent hole in the regulator. Depending on the configuration of the regulator, you might get a plus or minus in shot count.Does the spacer control the size of the regulated air chamber? So a bigger one = more regulated air and higher potential fpe? Seems like there is limited ability to vary this due to the vent holes but for lower power and higher shot count spacer should be as small as possible, right?
Now that's what I'm talkin' about!Cut my spacer down tonight, got it shooting around 890 very accurate with h&n barracuda match 10.65 grains reg set to 100 bar...
