I have a Taipan Veteran Long and it has started cocking rough. Is there anything that needs adjustment or just lubed under that plate.

Lube the probe shank first then cock it a few times may some crud or lead filings work their way in there. The mechanism is under the top plate where your cheek rests. Use some care on reassembly and line the pivot into both holes top and bottom.

Is there a certain point in the cycle where it feels rough, or is it in general? Does it only cycle rough on the first cycle sheet each shot (under hammer spring tension)? Or every time, if you cock it back multiple times in a row in succession?
