Yeah .177 / 4.5 mm at least is barrel gimped, there are " a lot " ammo that really no rifle on the market can use well.
Also ammo gimped in the sense that unlike larger calibers there is no choice in diameters in .177 aside for what might be in brands / models.
And at least to me that often have a big say in larger calibers where a rifle might like one size very well, but same weight ammo a fraction smaller or larger it absolutely do not like.

I asked Daystate some years back for the machinedrawings for the barrel the Huntsman have. They never replied. I know I could easely take of the barrel myself and measure myself, but if I were to order a barrel from a barrelmaker it would be easier for the barrelmaker to have the drwings. I wanted to a longer barrel for the Daystate Huntsman with a steeper twist. As much as really really want the Daystate Blackwolf, I am so happy I didn’t spend $3300 for a pelletshooter. I make my money honestly so I have to consider my spendings.

I also measured the barrel for my Two, wanting / looking for a barrel blank with a higher chance for success with heavier slugs.
The problem is, i am on early retirement so not really rich, and it seem that if you have to go to a Danish gun smith to have a barrel made, you need to be at least well off.
Also i have spoken to a few and really what i heard back from them, was less than encouraging.

I do have the educational pedigree to be able to do it myself ( i think ) but i do not have access to a lathe, so thats also a no go.

So no new heavy slug shooting barrel for the Two.

BUT ! i can assure you with a little Lotto win, small enough to not be able to leave Denmark, but large enough to buy a little house and some tools.
Well peashooters little Airgun shop would be up and running in no time.

My opinion about slugs in PCP is that they extremely dirty the barrels and that work will have to be done to coat the ammunition with some kind of plastic as Zan presented. Another thing, the offer should include slugs with differences of 0.01mm like NSA offers and not 0.02 mm like others offer. There will still be interesting developments in the world of PCP.

Are they saying the SLASH cannot be tuned as far as power level??
Take what you get from the factory and that's it?

I think you can tune the power but probably only through the regulator pressure. From what I've seen on IWA, the trigger works fine, just probably can't be tuned in any way. It has a little longer travel, but it's more sporting than hunting.

The airgun industry could learn alot from us PBs. But its like they are afraid to.
