Tuning taipan vet magazine

I have a veteran 25 cal and one of the magazines doesnt work The pellet probe hangs up onthe rubber o rings when being pushed foward and I have to lift the o ring a bit to get the pellet loaded. It looks like he trough that the o ring sits in was milled too deep and the o ring sit down into the pellet holders too far. anyone seen this? I am gong to try a fatter o ring that might let the pellet proble slip by. Any suggestion?

Sounds like it's time to contact the dealer for an exchange. Shouldn't be like that when new.

Before anything do you seat the pellets properly into the mag? O-ring supposed to hold between head and skirt around the neck of the pellets.

Are you cocking deliberately and not closing the side lever too slow?

I would try spin/rotate the o-ring a little by one half pellet index to see if just the sagging parts were it.

Could be possible a prior user (if purchased used) replaced wrong size o-ring.

You could try soaking it in Alphabet org auto trans stop leak quick fix to get it to swell up for a day.

fine filed the burr on the pellet proble and the action is smoother. I am surprised no one else has noticed this issue.

The sharp shoulder to which I think you are referring, is forward of the point at which the probe's diameter is stepped down, at least my .22 probe is constructed that way. The point where the probe's diameter is reduced (which does contact the O ring), is done so on a nice smooth radius, so its contact should not be damaging. I don't see any way that sharp shoulder should contact the O ring. I don't have a .25 Veteran, and perhaps the probe is designed differently.

problem is partially solved with fatter o-ring and burr removal The 25 pellet probe is not the same design as the 22 . It had one step off and it was not machined or sanded smooth. Will likely have to a bit more work to taper it and put larger o-ring on the remaining magazines. Sub optimal manufacturing though the gun is super accurate and powerful
