Taipan Taipan Veteran II Maintenance

Looking through the manual for the Taipan Veteran, it says to wipe the gun with gun oil and keep moving parts well lubricated. What brand of gun oil and lubrication do you guys recommend? Also, does the trigger groups needs to be lubricated as well?

Never heard of Krytox, but a quick search shows it's mostly for spring gun application? Interesting stuff though...

I just got a response from Taipan,
"normally we used BRUNOX or BALISTOL oils for cleaning barrels.
Trigger mechanism doesnt need it."
Yes, I wouldn't put oil in the trigger mechanism. I actually put oil on the trigger of one of my Veterans... Not the mechanism but the pin where the actual trigger blade pivots on. The oil looked liquid and thin enough but it was obviously still quite thick for the trigger. After oiling, if I release the trigger slowly after pressing, it wouldn't reset all the way through; enough that the safety wouldn't engage. I have to constantly push the trigger blade forward. It got annoying enough that I cleaned it out with alcohol and that got rid of the issue. I don't want to imagine what the oil might do to the actual trigger mechanism.
