Taipan VL .22 fpe

I own a Taipan Veteran Long in .22 with the following upgrades...1) power plenum 2) HUMA reg 3) stronger hammer spring. What is the max power that I can reasonably expect to see from this setup? My end goal is to fling 20.2 NSA slugs somewhere between 900-950 fps.(40-45 fpe) I'm just not sure if this gun is capable of it and I don't want to damage it trying. Any tips on shooting slugs with this setup are greatly appreciated.

JSB MRD 25.39's at 945fps at 140 bar on the reg. Have you tried slugs yet? Mine was great with pellets. Super accurate. With Slugs it was more like a shotgun shooting one pellet at a time and getting a nice 5-6 inch pattern.

So that’s right at 50 fpe, nice! Is that the same gun that I have? Same mods?

Same one, with same exact set-up.

I never had a .22 Long but I had a .25 Long and it shot .25 33.95 at 905 fps for 65 fpe~ moa at 115 yards. Honestly I wish I never sold that rifle but I know who has it if I can ever buy it back. I have tried slugs in stock Taipan barrels and the choke is too much, they really don't like them.

For what it's worth. I have a VL .22 completely stock with a CZ barrel original UK model. It will shoot the nsa 20.2 at 900-910 very accurately and at the same reg setting will shoot the CHP's very well also with just a Hammer spring adjustment. With the mods you have on your gun it shouldn't be any problem getting to the speeds you want. I have found the LW barrels to not be so Slug friendly in a different Vet!

That could very well be the issue I was having but I also only tried slugs in my compact .22, I have not had a long or standard in .22 I did try slugs in my .25 long , it didn't like it but could have had the LW barrel. I never confirmed.
