Taking airgun photos with your phone

Not cell, but just another push for cameras. I have a super basic body, coupled with a mid range ($300’ish?) 50mm lens, and an eye!

In the world of fantastic plastics, I’m a Sig Guy - but that is one hell of a photo, great eye!

Thank you! That was a lucky GB snag last year. It’s in .375 H&H Magnum which is why I suspect people weren’t bidding. Actually picked it up at $1300 which is phenomenal to me. It’s exactly what I wanted down to the red pad. With a little 1-4 Leupold, it was ready to rock. What a wonderful shooter that rifle is. A true joy. Recoil is there but comfortable, to me (5’10” 170#) in a t-shirt from the bench.

I have one in .375 H&H also and the recoil impulse was so fast that I was dodging a scope ring, I ended up putting one of the scout scopes on it for more eye relief. I like to play with bigger bores, also cast bullets, so got one in .458 Win Mag and it does not recoil as bad as the .375. I also have one of the little 1a models in 7x57 I bought for something like $275 at a gun show about 15 years ago. I looked like it had been rode hard and put up wet, Fortunately the metal was perfect but the stock finish was clouded all over with patches missing, and wood underneath bleached gray but no scratches, gouges or dents. It took a lot of careful scraping and sanding, and It turned out to be one of the better #1 stocks I have.

That’s interesting to hear! I have specifically described the recoil impulse of my particular .375 as “slow”. Crazy how two different rifles will shoot so differently!
