Something woke me up the other morning, I guess I had to take a whizz 
. I looked out the kitchen window and notice a rather large dark object out by the bird feeder. There still was some snow on the ground so I could see it against the snowy background. I crept back into my bedroom where I have my Compact .25 Vet all set up in my tripod, carefully lifted both the shade and the window. The critter hadn't noticed me so far, it was munching on the sunflower seeds which had fallen to the ground. I had a Leupold 3-9 EFR scope on the Vet. So no illumination. I took my time and finally could get a head shot. 25 yd shot. Went back to bed for a couple hours and woke up to this later in the morning.
