While driving to the range on Wednesday, my first chance to test my new Vulcan2 .30 caliber bullpup, I got this call on my cell phone. Lo and behold, it was none other than Tony Annussi of Talon Tunes, the very retailer who sold me this fine rifle.
Tony merely wanted to make sure that all was fine with the rifle and that I was satisfied with my purchase and his service. He got a chuckle in when I informed him that at that very moment I was en route to the range with the intention of putting this new laminate through her paces starting at 50 yards. He informed me that to increase the shot count, it was safe to fill the cylinder to 300 bar, even though the inscription on the rifle states fill to 250. I thanked him for the followup call and went on my way.
At the range this bullpup performed like a champ. I was only able to test her at 50 yards due to the unusually high number of shooters that day -- all powder burners, of course. One hole, nine-shot groups of less than 1/2" are standard for this gun.
The gun performed so well that I may have gotten 2 converts, powder burners who were amazed at the accuracy and shot cycle of the Vulcan. One of them, a father on an outing with his 2 boys on their Christmas break, took the name of Tony's Talon Tune website and expressed his intention of getting into air gunning.
I had an enjoyable day on the range. Totally impressed with this Vulcan2 bullpup. And even more impressed with the level of service provided by Tony Annussi. I would recommend him to friends and family.
