HW/Weihrauch Talk me into a Weihrauch HW100

I’m a fan of HW100’s. I owned one in .20cal for years, it was a tac driver and I cry when I think about why I had to sell it. Hoping to pick up a second hand .22 in a few weeks time.
Beauty, as they say, is in the eye of the beholder, and unfortunately I see no beauty in your tipan veteran. The HW100 on the other hand is, in my eyes, a beautiful rifle, and the T variety’s (thumbhole stocks) are simply drop dead gorgeous!!!
You mean like this? I replaced the original Air Cylinder with a Ratworks version and it increased my regulated shot count by about 20 rounds so I can safely go through 3 magazines before recharging and the bonus is it's about 1 lb lighter than the original.

I have been using my HW100 PCPs (.177 and .22) for over 10 years - they're fantastic airguns. Well made, solid and excellent performers.

The .22 HW100 FSB is my go-to pesting rifle, always on duty, never let me down.

In their quest for power, lots of people overlook the HW100 and don't realize what they are missing. There's lots of reasons the Weihrauch PCPs are very popular in Britain and Europe.

Cheers!

I have never seen an Ugly HW100, I owned 5 at one point in time, now I'm down to 3, I got lucky and bought a lot of 3 leakers from AoA, fixed all and sold 2, kept 1 for myself and it has been a work horse for me and it looks beautiful.....

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and to me the HW100 walnut thumbhole stock is just gorgeous!!!
I love bull pups too, but Weihrauch really could have done so much better then that ugly black plastic bullpup stock 😳
They could have made that bullpup gorgeous if they had given it a walnut thumbhole stock!

This is my AA S510 which comes in a nice Manelly soprter stock. Shes been redresses into a beautiful walnut thumbhole bullpup stock.
Why could Weihrauch not do something like that.... :(
Maybe its better that they didnt, because I would have probably bought too many of them 🤣

it's not plastic.....:eek::eek::oops: it's rubber coated or soft touch finish over Beech wood stock, it's really durable and feels good.

Did you ever pick up one?

I've wanted one for a while now, but never bit...And spent my budget on a Caiman and Daystate Huntsman Revere.
The Daystate is fairly similar to a HW 100, but the HW's mag is far superior.

I personally like the older style standard HW 100 Walnut stock a bit more than the current one. As far as the soft touch rubber I'd strongly advise against it...

That stuff tends to decay into a sticky mess with time and probably exposure to ozone/cleaning solvents. Ask Volkswagen, Kowa, Fujinon and Browning Arms....lol

When I bought my Caiman, I really wanted to order an Ataman, but passed. By that time they only had the soft touch stocks available and that was a no go.

I never got on with it. I was thinking that one of the main reason I wanted the gun is for aesthetic reasons. However, I sold my Taipan Veteran Long and bought a Standard .22 version and I like the look so much that I lost interest in other guns for the time being. Also, although I do love the look of a standard configured gun as well, when it comes to how I use my gun, shooting out of windows, I started to think that a 42+ inch gun might be a bit cumbersome compared to a 28" bullpup. I actually put in an order for another Veteran Standard in .25 so if I will ever get the HW100, it won't be for a long while.

I think the Taipan you ordered was a great choice. Pretty potent to boot.
