Talk me out of the Notos

I ordered one for a friend and set it up. It is a nice little rifle but not powerful enough for my taste. I would say it is a good 40 yard bird killer or with head shots red squirrels. The trigger is easy to improve on and the gun is very handy in weight. Scope needed a riser with high mounts to align properly. I'm thinking I got 25 shots per tank.

I already talked myself out of one, my pockets thank me...

The most simple and elegant reasoning I can provide myself for not buying a second gun, is if I buy it, I won't have time and possibly no desire to shoot my original. Being happy/content with what you have and not seeking for more is...challenging to say the least.

Hateful, how does the Jet I or II workmanship compare to the Notos? Is the dual tank worth it or just marketing? I thought my mind was made up and now you confuse me with facts!
????... You know its a what you got in the box .. its the its s good'en or its not so.

Funny looking at them there was the #2 but out of stock . When you look at the specs the 1 is a stronger gun in fps. Like the 1 shooting lead .22 show 700fps but the 2 shows 600? So whats up with that?

Personly the notos id prefer overall . Dont look so much like somthing a starwars character gun..lol

Lol figures you guys aren't any help. They do seem fun. I wouldn't care about the extra baffle I live in the country and don't need dead silent. Heard there pretty good as is. Power wise I would actually turn it down to around 15fpe. That's all I need. Saw the reg looks pretty simple to adjust on a video. Hatsan, eh not something I'm terribly interested in. Owned one a few years back and was very disappointed.

I'm still kicking around the idea of using the Airacuda. I need a red dot anyways even if I would get the Notos so i think I'm going to order a red dot and try it on the Airacuda. If I'm not happy with it then I guess I can order a Notos.

I will say every video I watched which was about 10 all did very good and only real con was trigger. Not a big deal for me. It is hard to resist though for the price.

The trigger is a really simple fix, just grind the point on the end of the adjustment grub crew to a nice rounded tip and apply grease. It smooths it right out when that point isn't digging into the metal it rests against! You can also shorten the travel quite a bit which improves it as well.

I think the guy in that long notos 300+ post thread here showed somthing.. m3 is as small i found . But funny the solid ball type i cant find anymore . Reason was i swore he said that trigger screw was a m3 ? If its smaller like m2 - 2.5. I guess a guy could drill and tap to m3 ..

Of its a bust then im sorry for the suggestion.. my bad

Did you happen to try one of the above with a nylon or delrin point?
No .

But, i got some micro ball bearings so i thought a cup end grub, strong epoxy , and a ball from the bearing and set glue it in the cup of the grub screw .. why not?

I just now need a new 2.5 x10 grub to try it in a trigger i have in need of.

I wouldn’t order one ….. the Notos …..eh it’s ok. I mean it’s an accurate , quiet , not pellet picky, light and maneuverable carbine. Can you believe it’s regulated ? And only 20FPE what a weak pistol carbine…a dumpster fire of a gun.
I’d hard pass on this one.

Keep it moving along nothing to see here ..

Fully agree!
I would not buy one

but 2 or 3 !

I hate to hijack this thread, but it turned out pretty good! It took 10 hours and 16 minutes to print, but it was worth it! All I hear now is the hammer slap the valve poppet and the pellet slap the Target!

Here it is installed. I kinda buggered up the housing trying to tap out the pins, so will need to clean that up a bit. I used 2 1.5mm X 18mm BUNA-N 70 DURA o-rings and the fit was nice and snug. The pin hole in the extension lined up perfectly! It's a very well designed baffle!

My test shot at 40 yards after installing the extension! I can live with that!

Theese are the o-rings from the O-Ring Store that I uses.
