Talk me out of the Notos

It does seem like a pretty good gun for the money. Still not sure I'm sold on it though. Before I never would have hesitated but since my break for a long time and not buying and selling stuff it's been nice lol.
Heart to heart. It’s a great little gun ….. it even has great tactile feel. ( not all plastic-y)

I remember entry level guns being 400 or so for anything decent.
You can not go wrong here.
It’s Returnable. I’d bet pretty good money that once in hand and shot you’ll understand. Go for it 👍🏻

im surprised at how much i love mine lol

but hey,
regulated,
24-25-ish shots
(at least at the 2100 my reg seems to be set at)
throwing 16gn fx at 750fps,
starling headshot accurate at 35yds,
body shot accurate at 50,
very very lightweight, great walking around gun,
and the quietest pcp i own

if you dont love it you can send it back hahaha

Dairyboy, your collection won’t be complete without a Notos. I’ve got everything from the Evol and Uragan to a Red Ryder and I gotta say the Notos has had a couple hiccups (magazine related) but I have really been very happy with it. For the money you can’t really go wrong and you’ll be using it a LOT.
I was on the original pyramydair wait list for it…I think it was from last May… finally received mine in the first shipment a couple months ago now. I am going to order another one and I’ll gladly sit on another waiting list for it if needed. Totally worth it. It’s a good value. Tons of fun and I gotta say it’s about the lightest and handiest little pcp I’ve ever owned.

why the short over the long snout?
I only ask as I just started the long snout print ... did I make the wrong choice?
No real reason, that's just the .STL I downloaded. At some point I may try the long snout, but I am having a lot of problems getting the initial layer of PETG to adhere to the printer base. I didn't think I'd ever get this one to start and then there was a lot of bunched filiment at the start that ended up with a really messy looking end. I had to snad away a lot of filiment to clear any obstructions from the end of the extension. It works great, just doesn't look that great!

To significantly improve baseplate adherence I put the blue painters tape on the baseplate and then level again.

Appreciate the reply!

For PETG, I use Brim with a 5mm width, line count of 9, 71 degree C plate - have had no issues with adhesion - not sure what printer you have, PETG brand, etc., but hopefully that helps.

Unfortunately, my nozzle jammed about 8 hours in - guess asking a year of usage was too much!

Have a second print going now - did the short snout, hope there are no jams this time around!

I have done that with good results with PLA, but it didn't work with the PETG.

Thank you. The research I did said to set the base temp higher. The specs on my PETG Spool says to set the base temp between 80-90C and the nozzle at 210-230C. My printeer is the FLSUN, the PETG is NAGA.

I'm using SUNLU PETG - nozzle temp is 235 (bed is 71 as mentioned). sovol printer. about halfway through so far on this second attempt...

OP I hope you dont mind me asking this. Ive been trying to talk myself out too lol.

What would you guys prefer? Buck Rail Beeman, Buck Rail Bandit or the Notos?
When you say Buck Rail Beeman or Buck Rail Bandit, are you talking about purchasing a Beeman (?) or Bandit and then buying all the Buck Rail accessories to make it Tacti-Cool? If that's the case, I say go for the Notos and save yourself a bunch of work and possibly added expense of extra parts. The only extras I'd recommend for the Notos is the CARM 12 shot magazine and printing your own baffle extension if you need it even stealtier than it already is!

I have the BuckRail Bandit and the Notos, the two have similarities and differences, most notable is the tactile feel and second is the barrel quality.

Simply put, I'll grab the Notos for the +30y shots and will grab the Bandit for -30y shots.

Put that long moderator on the Notos and you have a 64dB gun which is essentially silent at 50y and the pellet strike is the only thing that is heard.

I finally got around to shooting mine last weekend. I really like it, its shoots 1 hole groups at 20 and 30 yards. I am going to put a better scope on it. I'm going to round off the grub screw as that makes alot of sence. I did notice the last 2 clips that I shot were a little rough loading, kinda felt like the probe that pushes the pellet was catching somehow ? Anyone else have loading issues? Its a keeper for sure.

After my experience with the PRod and carbine-izing it, it has turned out to be the ideal backyard pester. Metal and wood, for the most part, except for the folding Buck-Rail stock.

All kinds of accessories for it, too, so keep you hand on your wallet. 🍻
