This will be mostly backyard pest shooting. Small suburban back yard with cover from wind in the backyard unless it's a storm then it's a moot point.

What I like about a .177 is you don’t need a long barrel or some high powered platform to have a great gun. My dad confiscated my BSA Ultra 177. Very neat, small 850fps gun. I bought a Lelya .177 to shoot with him at his house. I hind sight I wish I would have looked harder for a small tube traditional rifle. Maybe took one of those beautiful AA guns and even chopped it down even shorter. My first Impact was a 177 and I was a fool. Way too much gun to dumb down to shoot .177.
