Hi Chief55, I have both the .22 cal and the .25 cal barrels for my Escape UL, but it mostly wears the .25 cal during hunting season and is my goto woods walker. If you want to try some slugs in the Escape UL, mine likes the 33gn Apolo slugs which you can get from Field Supply. Odly enough, I use the same combo of pellets and slugs for the .22 cal barrel as well (Cuda 21 gn pellets and Apolo 21gn slugs).
Like you, I have owned several Condors, and a Seneca carbine when I tried to convinve myself that I "needed" a repeater. (The Seneca is a nice airgun) But alas, I too hvae reached that age that the 5.5 lb with scope Escape UL is the perfect small to midsize game getter. Mine wears a Donny FL Tanto and in .22 cal , I can make it backyard friendly. At 60 ft lbs in .25 cal, not so much so. I also own an AEA .30 cal air rifle, but it is just too heavy for anything but lugging out to a stand and waiting on something to walk by... not my preferred style of woods walking. Like you, if I had to only have one airgun (heaven forbid that) it would be the Escape UL.
