Tuning Talon Shroud Extension

For all of you Airforce Talon/Condor owners. Has anyone come across a shroud extension? Looking for something four to six inches long. Modders had them out years ago, not having any luck finding any now.

I've got one. it's not as quiet as my custom unit i built. it is close to 14" long. you remove the barrel end cap on the gun and slide it over the barrel and use the grub screws to hold it in place. its meant for the 24" barrels. it does have baffles inside. Not sure what the actual manufacturer of it was. the guy i got it from on here didn't know either.

That might have been Randy at R-L airguns in Walsenburg, Co. I don't know if they are still making them or not.

Any of those shrouds will not work as good as a custom one..talon tunes are crap the old one the interior will crush under the continues pressure of the shoots .n if you don't see it on time on day you shoot the top of the moderator of .. the rest available are simply not effective...you have 2 option tread the barrel so you could use any moderator you want ..or have a machinists make you one like the talon tunes but 1 3/4 thick 16"long and use the baffles stile as the ones on the huma ... you will end with a gun every one will think is broken..no noise at all..I never machine that prototype because I went with 30" barrels..to bad I don't have the pics of the interior of the TT in pieces..

this is the unit i mentioned. that isa condor .25 with a 24" barrel. the ldc/ frame extender is attached.

this is a pic of both the condor and gauntlet. here you can see the custom frame extender on the condor. roughly the same length as the above photo. mine is a 5 chamber design.

Talon ss converted to condor ss. 18" .25 bbl, condor tank. All Donny fl on business end. 16mm slip on adapter, Donny fi Tanto. Work fine for me.

Neil Clague can make you a moderator that will eliminate the use of a frame extension.

Shambozzie, that's nice! Doesn't look like it takes away too much from it being a carbine. One thing I like about the SS is its carbine style. It's my favorite handy pest eliminator. Now that Pa is allowing airguns for hunting, I'm thinking of expanding its range.

Either that or just buy another airgun for hunting. That would be a win-win also.

My custom unit is also a full pvc one. I used 3 different sizes to get a snug fit inside the frame. and the main body on the outside is the grey pvc. Made a custom barrel adapter to fit over the barrel that the unit slips over to help keep things in line. custom size and shape baffles. use felt weather stipping for sound control.

thats the nice thing about having a 3d printer. i can create just about anything. and if it breaks, i can assess the damage and make a new piece based of the issues.

I have one from TalonTunes for my Condor and it does a real nice job of making it backyard friendly even on high power. Talk to Tony over there and he will set you up.

I was at his website and he didn't have them listed anymore. I'm going to try talking to the machinists at work. If they're not busy they might help me out. One of them is making me a butt stock to replace that steel plate.
