Tank bag recommendation please

Just wanted to make sure you saw this one: https://www.armageddongear.com/air-tank-range-bag.html

I use the Joe B setup with horizontal feet and carry handle, but if I was going to get a bag, it would be that one.

Nice bag, but that is some serious coinage.

I am kicking the idea of one of these around, though I would have to add some padding for the bottle - https://toughbuilt.com/product/26-massive-mouth

I measured my 66 cubic foot scba tanks and they are right around 26" end to end so that toughbuilt bag might be too small. Although if it were bigger looks like it'd be fantastic. I too am struggling to find a bag setup id be happy with for my tanks. That armageddon bag is outrageously priced but damn is it nice.

Edit" I also see that the armageddon bag would be too small.

9L tanks appear to fit in the armageddon gear bag, however I'm unclear on the valve knob. Looks like the zipper flap may cover it but it would still stick slightly out. https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/new-tank-bag-from-armageddon-gear/

Nice find on the camplex bag. I hadn't seen that before. I have a different attitude around air supply than I used to. $250 for a bag that will last a lifetime, that I'll use every time I go shooting a $3300 gun setup, and that will protect an $800 tank setup seems reasonable to me now.

Hmmm, maybe I am confusing a measurement , I have been measuring quite a few things lately... silly I know. My tanks cost me $120 for 2 hahah and too will last a life time with or without a bag. Maybe this bag is something worth looking into, I will say that it surely is a big pill to swallow.

Forum member Loren makes really nice tank bags. He owns a company that makes saddle bags for motorcycles also. https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/made-me-a-new-dual-tank-range-bag/#post-573908

I've been using one of his bags on my 74 cu/ft tank for years and it's still like new. Here's a pic of mine.

WOW! That fancy bag rivals wife’s purse(low end) prices! If I bought that 300 dollar bag wife will get all you can eat buffet card to expensive purses, BAD IDEA!!!

I carry mine naked because I’m cheap and not cool/tacticool…….hell, my tank cost less than that bag with the fill station, how am I going give wife poop about she has less money in her wallet than what she paid for the wallet???

I posted in that thread, that looks great and I'd love to support a guy in the community.

Yes, it arrived last Tuesday as promised! Quick shipping and customs handling, yay. I also have some first impressions which I'll share now with photos.
Overall, I like the bag. I purchased the Large Camo bag that fits my 98cu.ft tank but is too large for the 74cu.ft tank (for that size tank, get the medium bag). By "too large" I mean it's too tall for the cylinder to remain balanced when carrying. Either I must stuff a towel underneath the smaller tank (which puts it off balance and the weight is toward the gauge), or it falls to the bottom where the gauge and valve disappear from view. That's with my smaller tank. With the large 98cu.ft tank, it's just great! The tank fits snugly, the valve protrudes from the circular cutout just fine, and the stitching is MOSTLY great. I say mostly because around the valve hole, the nylon is simply left cut/bare (see photo) and a strip of canvas or something to protect the raw edges of the fabric/foam padding would be nicer than what it is now.
I like how the top "lid" zipper is arranged. There is a double zipper, which is nice, but the thing i really like about it is that they thought it through. You unzip the top lid with the tank bag sitting on a bench or some flat surface where the feet of the bag are in contact with the surface, and the lid folds back away to the side, not down and in the way or up (where it would also be in the way). That being said, it seems like the bag was made for left-handed individuals to me. What i mean is that when I carry my tank (in bag), I generally carry it in my right hand, cause it's heavy. But this bag needs to be oriented with the tank valve facing the right, or the lid opens toward you. Not a big deal to many, but an inconvenience to me. I guess I'll just have to learn to carry it with my left hand or figure something else out.
The entire bag has a thin foam lining between the black inner nylon and the camo outer covering. They also provided 2 extra full-length thicker foam pads which help buffer the extra space left by a smaller tank.
The side pockets are adequate for storing hoses, adapters, and maybe a few cans of ammo, plus earplugs, FX Chronograph, and maybe an extra magazine or something.
My final thought is that a shoulder strap would have been a huge step toward making it a stellar tank bag. While waiting for this bag to arrive, I was browsing some sporting goods stores and found a crazy expensive, but amazing duffle bag from Filson. Have you guys ever seen these things? American made with the finest waxed canvas and leather. It's beautiful, and feels sooooo good to carry, unzip, zip, and fish around inside for ammo/magazines/whatever. The Filson fits my 74cu.ft bag just perfectly, although there is zero padding, so I have to be careful when setting it down on the cement. I just love this thing, but it's well over twice the price of my new Camplex bag, so you definitely get what you pay for.

Here you can see the unfinished edge around the valve hole.
