Tank thread sizes.

The tank that im using with my 50 caliber gun has a tank thread that is m18x1.5. The regulator that im using is 4500/3000 but it was a generic ebay find and I wanted something more reliable so I ordered a Ninja regulator that says it's for PCP use but the thread is 5/8-18. I'm having a heck of a time finding tanks with the 5/8-18 so will someone please school me on the uses of the two threads. I can't find the same reg with the metric so I figured I'd just buy a tank to match the standard thread.

That’s what sucks about the ninja reg for ‘pcp’ only. It has the 5/8” threads. It sucks because the 5/8” carbon fiber tanks are nowhere to be found (at least not when I was looking for them).

They did make a couple of runs of that valve for 18mm x 1.5. They didn’t last long when in stock. They may still make them or at least be able to supply the reg body as a part. Might be worth contacting them.

Just get a tank adapter?

This is a strange adapter. I'm not sure what it's use would be because an adapter fitting the application that I need would be a female/male adapter. That one appears to be female/female.

Damn, I wish I had found that before purchasing the one I have. I hope they'll accept a return.

Not strange at all, its the bridge between the gun (M18*1.5) and the regulator (5/8"-18UNF). The gun is male, the reg is male on both ends.

When I started down the PCP rat hole some years ago I bought more than my fair share of *upgrades* that for a plethora of reasons failed to work out. I did learn that there is one goto operation for PCP regulators, Huben Power. Ninja is good but they are primarily paintball equipment with some PCP hardware.

I've done the Chinese knockoff Huben crickets, the generic fixed and adjustable regulators. But nothing compares to the real deal Huben Power regulators. You pay a premium and shipping is usually $30 but they are rock solid. I just ordered a Z valve for a Talon SS I'm refurbishing.

I believe Haji on his web site and Alien Airguns (?) on ebay sell the real Huben. Anything on Aliexpress is a knockoff.

I'd return the Ninja (if you can) and go Huben. They have regulators with g14 and m18 gun interfaces and all of them have M18 bottle interfaces. Along with some airgun specific interfaces like Airforce and AEA.
