Tank transport in truck bed

How do you transport your gear in your vehicle? I'm interested to see any ingenious ways to keep things more organized. I'd like to find a way to install my SCBA tank securely in the truck bed so that its always there when I need it during the upcoming pesting season. Pics would be great.

Shortly after getting an expired SCBA tank (45 minute) I built a little tray to hold it and a few related pieces. It is cypress only because I had some left over from another project. The tray is big enough to go all the way around the bottle with the fill set installed. I also put targets below the bottle and fill probes and a few other items in the tray. I've taken the bottle in my truck but prefer to put it in the back seat. But it rides in the bed sometimes too. I think the key is to protect the carbon fiber wrap of the bottle. A good padded bag would probably work too. They sell them for SCBA tanks.

Thanks for the ideas! My midsize truck has low bed sides and a hard tonneau cover, so I will be mounting horizontally.

I think this is pretty bad ass. Looks like it has a quick release. Dunno if it would fit your bottle.

It appears to be for a scba tank.
