Tank valve problem

I just bought a new airmarksman fx style bottle valve. Installed it and it doesn’t seem to be functioning. Put it on a mk 3
Filled it to 150 bar. That’s what I have in my nitrogen tank. When I bleed it of the tank pressure gauge goes back down to the reg pressure.
Tried it on a mk1 and it goes back to just a few pounds from empty
Any ideas?

The o-ring that seals the tank to atmosphere sounds damaged. Because you moved it from one gun to the other gun and it went to near zero after the move indicates it may have been failing to begin with, and moving it completely damaged it.

I put the bottle back on my mk1
Gassed it back up, while still hooked to fill tank I unscrewed the bottle. The valve decided to seal up. Best I can figure it needed to seat the valve pin under pressure. Seems to be working properly now. Tested it for leak nothing found

The CF bottle valves (pin) does not interchange between MK1/2 and MK3/M3.
I cannot remember which way forward or revers is compatible. It was long time ago back maybe in 2022 when I was learning about this.

You can use m3 on mk1 not the other way unless you change the valve pin

FX has/had an adapter to put on the early mk1 valves to make them compatible with mk3. Just a brass sleeve. New valve is backwards compatible.
