TAR HEEL AIRGUN CLUB NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Tar Heel Airgun Club, the oldest field target club in North Carolina is is relocating back to Mt. Pleasant where it all began. We need your help with this transitional reboot! More on that in a bit…
But first, thanks needs to be given for the hard work and dedication of Chris Corey and Keith Knoblauch! For many years they have grown the Tar Heel club and introduced new shooters to the sport. With their leadership, THAGC hosted their first ever ‘Carolina Classic’ Grand Prix- and made it an annual event. The THAGC was also chosen to host the AAFTA National Championship at the Pleasant Hill course which attracted serious competitors from across the country. Both of these events helped put the THAGC on the map in the field target community!
The pandemic presented serious challenges to the club over the last few years, but Chris and Keith have persevered through it all. NC field target shooters and the FT community owe a debt of gratitude for their dedication to the sport. Thank you gentlemen for all your hard work and being good stewards of the club!
But for everything there is a season…
There is now interest to move the club to Mt. Pleasant NC with the leadership of Chris Berry. Chris is an experienced FT shooter with a wealth of knowledge of course planning and design. But this is where we need your help! Besides the physical labor, setting up a new course has financial cost attached to it. Targets, mounts, blocks, clamps, strings, clips, etc. all need to be purchased. YOU can help with this effort by making a donation to the new Tar Heel Airgun Club account HERE- PayPal.Me/tarheelairgunclub.
For example, a $25 donation can help purchase a target, block and accessories for the new course. Our average match consist of 30 targets so there is plenty of opportunity to show your support! Web site and domain hosting, along with insurance and other miscellaneous expenses will also follow.
Please consider a donation to help continue the Tar Heel Airgun Club in North Carolina and honor the efforts of those shooters who have come before us. We believe THAGC can continue to introduce new shooters to the sport and provide a great place to grow as a field target shooter with good friends and fellowship!
Thank you for your support. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the club at [email protected].
Sincerely,
Chris Berry
