Target ideas

From AoA. The price really "shot up" (get it son, that was a joke!) but they are indestructible. Some new paint and back in action.

I just bought another one to build a trap for my brother.
It was only $24, free shipping because I ordered all kinds of stuff. Lol

My new acquisition. Can easily change out the paddle sizes or disassemble for maintenance. My friend Paul Porch made this and he makes tons of others great Airgun steel target.
You can mount it in damn near any orientation onto about anything as well. Very well built. Very reasonably priced.

I have contemplated, those fairground whack the thing with a big light hammer and a weight go skywards towards a bell

I was thinking a ball trapped in a L / J shaped frame of some sort so you can still see it, hit the ball and it get shot back and up the frame / guide rail, and then of course fall back down and the thing is reset.
Was thinking golf balls but i dont think they will work for very long, and a massive steel ball probably too heavy to do very much about with a .177 rifle at least.
So now i am thinking hollow metal spheres that still can take a hit, but i am all out of luck

Design something with a mechanism to handle the heavy lifting to store the energy needed to propel a ball or whatever up but will trigger on the force from an airgun and be able to reset. Mechanical or electrical. Similar to the Daisy Rocket Shot but heavier duty.

A mousetrap makes a great trigger for a target. The jaw has plenty of thrust to launch an object or pull the rip cord on a party popper. There are lots of mousetrap launchers on youtube.

A little conibear trap is only five bucks. You could make a helluva target out of one.

Paul does a great job, and his self resetting tip backs are great for FT practice.
