That really stinks. LE profession is no different than others. Some are way more D-headed and un reasonable than others. Yes you broke the statute but you were in the woods. Not like you were some stupid kids causing havoc or property damage. I would be willing to bet they had some leeway. Could have written a citation and said don’t let me see you here again. You obviously got a more A-hole one. Hopefully after court you can get your stuff back. I’ve heard both good and bad experiences as far as that goes.

I really should add this in here. I am really pro police 100%. I must acknowledge that only one side of the story is being presented. I wasn’t in the woods that day and I have found in my personal experience with LE attitude goes a million miles. Often people who think they are in the right become immediately combative and d-heads themselves. This will do you no favors. Not saying that is what happened just pointing this side out.

my suggestion find a place to live that is more conducive to your lifestyle.
At the rate my state is growing, there are a lot of people doing just that
My intention is exactly that. Has been for awhile.. but after hits taken by life+myself, could not do it. Actually trying @ moment pretty hard. So goal is in next year or so.. but to where exactly idk yet. I take it you live in a similar area to me. I'm from Charlestown, Boston. My kid is 7th generation... Almost like that old Arrow Smith song: or rift from song. "Gotta get out, cuz the City's movin in"! Ty, SF

@Surefire If you’re interested in a place to shoot, relatively easy to get to from your location, you have 2 options->
Manchester firing line is totally fine with PCPs. The only restriction is lead projectiles only and no (very) high power PB cartridges.
New England Airgun has an indoor range, you get free air while shooting, no lead ammo though and caliber restriction to .30

Thanks man. Yeah one of the town cops said to me low-key when the State Trooper was on the phone with his supervisor, said "we were like we would handle us a lot differently, probably would have just escorted you out" but his hands were tied one GI-Joe showed up. No offense, my cuz is a State Trooper, different area & just became 1 last summer.. I can't ask him for help.. too late, & he's green.. the Head Honcho on phone with the Trooper made the decision. & He was following orders. Can't blame him, for there is a chain of command.. ... That being said from some1 who was under orders before I do understand this. ...But I was fighting the Taliban. Not my fellow American brothers and sisters. So I can't understand the overkill... Where talking Tools , my Oakley SI kitchen sink backpack, etc & my 90ci canister.. fu*kn dirt bag. Lol, & ty, -SF

Where is that last one precisely located? That sounds like a good time if it's not hella far. Ty, SF

It sounds like the OP has gotten his answer... shooting on state land in Massachusetts is prohibited. Any legal advise should be obtained from his lawyers. The OP may start a new thread after the issue has been resolved to share any advice he has for other airgunners.
