Target reset string

I realize there are lot of options out there for string, but i really like the orange plastic string that comes with the gamo targets. i called pyramid air but the string is not sold separately. does anyone have a link to some of this string? time to do some replacing. TIA

Try Home Depot/Menards/Lowes Home Improvement stores. They have sturdy cord in a few different colors.

The mason's line is cheap but stretches a lot. I use braided Dacron Polyester kite line. Of course the heavier the line the easier it is to grip so I paid extra for larger diameter. It ain't cheap so I do not leave the lines out for long periods of time hoping they will do for several years.



Too bad I could not find the Gamo string winders for sale either as they are good too.

I grew up in Cortland NY and that's where 'Cortland Line' [fishing line] is manufactured.. 
Over the years, even though I don't fish, I found a LOT of really good uses for it..

That said, don't rule out fishing line.. It comes in all sorts of weight/test and materials.. 

I just got a pull-to-reset rat target, and plan on getting the squirrel version too.. 
The cheap 'kite string' that came with it is okay, but, I know it's not going to hold up well.. 

That's why I'm dropping my $0.02 here.. Same predicament.. Hopefully a good option.

dirty-i'm currently using 250 lb test fishing line. in deep woods where i shoot. leaves, twigs and pine straw get tangled in this line fairly easily. the guys who reminded me about masons line were spot on i think. just ordered some.

Masons line is IMO and our clubs too ... WAY TOO STRETCHY and makes resetting targets a lot more effort than needed.

80 to 130 # braided dacon is what ya want .. honestly.
