Tasco air rifle scope

I don't know that I would trust a Tasco to not break on a Bug A-Salt let alone a springer.
Which springer do you want to put it on? I was going to assume a 34 but you know what they say about assuming...

I'd grab a UTG Swat for that gun. They're built like a tank and I have yet to kill any of mine. That gun probably has some barrel droop to it as well so I'd think an RWS Lockdown mount would be a good idea to go with it. UTG makes some drooper mounts too.

A thought that I should have asked earlier... Has the gun been tuned or is it just the factory setup? A proper tune will do wonders for scope lifespan.

A long time ago I had a Tasco Made in Japan on my RWS-54 (recoilless but effectively a double-recol). Stood up to several thousand shots using a scope stop. Not sure if today's Tascos are built that way.

I'm going to stick to my gut here and recommend the UTG still. Admittedly it has been a few years since I've used a Tasco but I was far from impressed with them when I was using them.

If budget allows the Leupold Freedom EFR 3-9x33 AO USA or Vortex Cross Fire 2 4-12x40 AO CHINA are likely the strongest spring gun scopes available today with no bs life time warranties. The Clearidge brand are built strong especially for springers and made in JAPAN.
If you can find an old Japan made scope with AO that still has a no bs life time warranty it would be another option.
If you can find an old Weaver V16 4-16x40 AO JAPAN and if Weaver still honors their life time warranty it would be a very nice scope for a springer comparable to older Leupold efrs.
Some have had great luck with the old Bushnell Legend mil dot 5-15x40 AO and Simmons 44 MAG both made in the PHILIPPINES on their magnum springers.
The broken RWS scope might have a life time warranty. Do some research over the net first then contact Umarex.
Another option is to invest on the Diana Bulls eye mount or its cheaper clone found on Amazon for under $20 which should protect any scope from springer damage.
