RTI Tell me about the Prophet

Good Day! The prophet P1 comes with a LR22 barrel 1:32 twist that shoots jsb redesign really well, at a good speed as well, 950 fps down to 880 fps. the barrel and redesign pellet were kind of developed to work together. I promise you would not be disappointed!

The P3 has a RPB barrel 1:16 twist which also likes the redesign but at 920fps or slower, but likes slugs also. The P3 has a assisted air valve which makes tuning a bit easier. you can get a LR22 barrel for it as well. so when I'm comparing the 2 guns here it would be with both using the LR22 barrel.

The P3 is more efficient than the P1. The P3 only needs 115 bar to reach 945fps. where as the P1 needs 130-135 bar.

Both guns shoot just the same with LR22 barrel and redesign. I get the same groups. The mora as well with the LR22. The mora only needs 90 to 100 bar with LR22 barrel.

My honest opinion if your just going to shot pellets go for the P1 with the redesign. I have my P1 performance tuned at 130bar and hammer adjusted to get 945fps. SD 1.6 and max of 7. the only modification I have is the dual regulator from RTI. The P1 never lets me down.

I have seen the prophet shooting the redesign at 1040fps. Impressive grouping at a 100 yrds. I find though, I get flyers every 5 or so shots. The gun is pretty hot at 180 bar and hammer turned up to get this speed.

hope this helps

Good advice here. I have has a P2 and now have a P3 and I have all the barrels so I can go from .177 through .30 including the LR 22 barrel. The P3 is the quietest of the Prophet line and easiest to tune. For me, using the .177 barrel, it is the quietest pesting rig I have and I have settings for high, medium and low power depending on where I am shooting. The RPBs are one of the best barrels for both slugs and pellets as many barrels prefer one or the other.

Hi BK,

I’ve got two Prophet Performance P1s. I’ve got .177, .22LR, .25LR (2) and .30 barrels.

Do these barrels require any adapters to fit the Mora? The Mora shroud is significantly larger diameter, so I’m thinking something is required to keep them centered in the Mora shroud…?

Thanks,

Ed

I have a Prophet Performance P1. I bought it whent he P2 was announced. I did not want to be the first kid on the block to get the P2 and have to deal with any growning pains with the new design.
I also got a better deal on the old design and have been very happy with it. I got mine with the 22lr barrel and mirror what BKMahaffey said about it. Amazingly accurate barrel when shooting the redesigns at 1000+fps, and not really picky about other pellets as long as you keep your fps slower more resoanable levels.
Earlier this year I also bought a .25 RPB barrel. It works great in the P1 with both pellets and slugs.

I have been happy enough with the P1 that I have not been tempted to move on to one of the new assisted valve models, so can not really comment on them.

I am kind of curious about the Mora though.

According to Rok, the barrels for the P2/P3 will work on the Mora. I never had a P1 to know if the barrels were different, but I asked this of Rok suspecrting that I would eventually want a Mora.
The main difference in the P1 barrel is a single round port vs a much larger split port. A P1 barrel in a P3 or a Mora would restrict air flow, but the RPB bareel in a P1 works great.

I've got both a Prophet Compact and a full length Prophet Performance.

Seems that I shoot the compact more than the full length version.
They both have held air for very long periods, without leaking. I originally bought the full length version mostly because they have a couple less o-rings in them to...leak.

One of the reasons that I like the compact, is that to make it nice and quiet, you "don't" need an..."add on" muffler. I put a few Daystate baffles and spring inside of the shroud. Made a very nice addition, plus, like I said, it keeps the gun nice and short, while also making it quieter.

I did, finally buy an FX, MK3, but again, shoot the RTI Compact more often.
