Results Temecula Airgun Club Benchrest Match for April 19th

The Temecula Airgun Club gathered for it's monthly Benchrest Match at LD"S Ranch in Temucula, Ca.
It was another Beautiful weekend in San Diego...The Sky was Blue and the Ballons were up in the air!

THE EQUIPMENT
Jim Ziegler was using a USFT in .177 and Weaver T36 scope Pete Leduc was using a USFT in .177 and a Leupold 35X scope Roger Lovett was using a USFT with a Lilja Barrel in .177 and a Nightforce 12-42x56 BR scope Larry Durham(LD) was using a USFT Titanium Special in .177 and a Bushnell 2.5-16x40 scope Mike Manabe was using a HM1000X in .22 and a Hawke Sidewinder 8-32x56 scope Chuck Thompson was using an Air Arms S400 MPR FT in .177 and a Tasco 8-40 custom scope Here's a view from the bench

After the Match, we all enjoyed a pot-luck luncheon and sat around talking about airguns.

The Results; The day started with calm winds and gradually pick-up speed throught the match. First place score was a tie at 736, with the tie breaker going to Roger for the higher "X" count. Chuck Thompson shot an outstanding round of 236, with Mike Manabe only 1 point behind the leaders.

You're too kind Jimmy! I want to blame the drinking we did on Saturday for my poor performance...But I really shot a great match and got beat....that's just the way it goes. I'll have to practice a little more for the next match. I'm glad you liked the report and the photos...I will keep you informed on the clubs benchrest matches.

The electronic gadget is a timer....matches last 20 minutes
The book is called CHIHULY ..It's about a glass blower/sculptor

Holy Cow - that was some serious concentration of equipment and skill. No wonder you've had a meteoric rise, Mike.......practicing against those guys. More and More I miss the days when you were shooting speed silo with an Indy.

They do have some serious firepower and have state of the art front rests in our club. You definitely learn to swim or you sink real quick.
Just like you learn never bring an Indy to the speed silo...lol
