is there any way u can wire a switch or shut off the temp gage read out on a yong heng air pump 2 save the battery's ?

Hi,
Yes you can. This type of temp sensor is used in many aplications.
But you have to remove the 2 LR44 battery´s and arrange some sort of external battery holder, then solder 2 wires and a switch to it.
But why do we need to do this...???? battery´s are dirty cheap, and will last at least a good year.

FWIW
I have never changed the batteries in the temp meters in my 2 Yong Hengs
One has been running 3 years, and the other 2 years.
Both purchased pre-owned so the run time is longer than my ownership
