Tequila Gun PCP

Hog -

Just HOW old...is your TequilaGun ?
Mike is #009, and it has a dovetail notch in the top of the receiver.

The main reason for me, is that there is less "swinging" around of the sight while aiming !!
Your wrist is the "pivot point" while aiming. The grip is as closest to that centerline point. The further away from the "center" or pivot, that you put the sight, the more it moves back and forth, the more difficult it is to hold on center.

And at my age, I need all the help that I can get !!

Mike
I've got #13 so.....I should have the dovetail. Ok, the location makes sense, for some reason I have less of an issue with handguns....of the Springfield variety.

Ok, I completely forgot about the dovetail for the rear sight. Haven't used the rear sight so....out of sight, pun intended, out of mind...a very short trip on that one. But SADLY I'd need to replace my sight with a shorter one if my eyeballs are correct.

Yeah, that's it. As long as the two piece assembly is a solid, or non-movable, once assembled.

Thanks.
Let us know the availability and cost when you are happy with it.

Please send me your input.

Rather than nuts, I like the way that "M0ist0ne" did it. He just used "thread inserts". Much cleaner. You just need to know that you can't tighten the screws TOO...tightly !

I'll try to find a picture of his adapter. It also has the "pins" to locate the sight, along with the hold down screws.

This one doesn't show the thread inserts and the locating pins. I'll keep looking. But I think that you get the idea.

Here's a shot where you can see the locating pin -
See all the way to the right, at the bottom, end of the gold mount . That pin is 3D printed, part of the plate.
The thread insert, is well, just a thread insert . Can't be seen in this picture.
Maybe...I'll remove the sight from my gun so you can see it, but again, I think that you get the idea.

once be inserted on place. Is hard to be removed, also if is removed the piece would be damage In the process.
Our friend want something stronger than the "plastic" the only thing I can think of is a threaded insert to take up the wear and offer more bearing surface. Personally I'm good with the "plastic", until we can get one made out of Titanium of course.

Only option is a treaded insert, not sure there is enough room for a t-nut. BUT how often are you really going to be removing it?
Well...I move sights around to different guns a lot !
A given sight can live its life on one gun, or I've been known to move a given sight to two or three guns in a month, until I'm happy with its placement. Or...any given sight can rest in the top shelf of my safe, until I decide to put it on a new / different gun.

Hope this doesn't bother you too much !?

With some sort of metallic threads, I'm fine with a well done "plastic" mount. Plus, I'm also interested in properly fitting locating pins, again, plastic or metallic.
BUT...all bets are off on a firearm ! There's a couple of reasons that a proper steel, aluminum, titanium...or any other exotic metal be used for firearm reflex sight mount use.

The plastic mount on my Huben GK1 is working fine as is. And yeah, per my note above, I've even had a couple of different sights on it, AND...gone back to the originally placed, Holosun sight.

Why, pray tell, would I be bothered if you move stuff around, it's your business

Just commenting on your "how often are you really...." comment, with a...yes I do, and sorta why.
Not a big deal, just that yes, I do move sights around.

Only bad part...it uses up targets, resighting in the new mounting ! Normally not too far off, but most times, a little adjusting is required.

Finally the Trijicon base is finished. Also I developed a new suppressor that has a mechanical valve to catch and release slowly the high pressures air. Only the sound of the hammer hitting the pin valve is listen.

I WANT BOTH!!!!! I actually want to try the suppressor on my rifle...as a test.

Amazing stuff. maybe one day,
My plan is to try the moderator on a rifle as well as the Tequila, one of my rifles hates moderators, it's louder with than without. Given that the Tequila is LOUD without one it'll be interesting. My Donny Koi quiets down the Tequila quite well so it'll be a fun test.

I’ve been lurking here on the forum since early in your development process. I am very impressed with you and your pistol, you’ve done an outstanding job bringing this gun to market. I thought you would give up, I thought your commitment to quality might wane, you’ve been amazing. The way you gathered AGN member feedback, brought designs changes developments to the forum, then actually produced what looks to me as a gorgeous product, bravo my man. Your journey has been a pleasure to watch. I bought 2 GK1s and a HW44 since June, your Tequila gun is on my February birthday gift to myself list. I need to justify 😂🤣
