Testing AA Field Heavy 10.3 at 50-yards with TX200

Here is the video of my 50-yard test of AA Field Heavy 10.3 grain 4.52mm head sorted at 10.4 grains. I rebuilt the TX200 after about 15,000 rounds. These have typically been one of its favorites. It seems they still are on the list. I posted the target yesterday. Just so folks can see the excitement of shooting paper!

Indeed ... many of us in Field Target with our > 12fpe rigs be them PCP or Piston have found the 10.3 tho loopier, buck wind better and worth the added ranging accuracy required difference.

Very nice (y)

I think the deal with wind better as well. I believe I can notice it at 100-yards a lot more. I am running them about 14.5 fpe or so.

Indeed .. as you go faster with 10.3 to @ the 18-19 fpe range the same sort of thing happens again ???
That of shooting the next heavier ( The 13.4 monster ) loosing @ 100 fps for equal power, tho gaining once more better wind bucking.

Interestingly the publish BC and feedbacks from some people I know said the 13.4 grain pellets are not noticeably better in the wind than 10.4g. They are similar shape but 30% heavier so I expected better BC but it doesn’t appear to be the case.

You can't ... PCP realm.
Just stating the weight helping and relating to that dynamic
I'll have to recheck my numbers buttttttttt....
We are talking muzzle velocity?🤔
My Winchester 1100SS noteds say I'm getting right around 20ft-lbs with a 10.3gr flying around 950
😅 however it loses major velocity over long distance vs my Lothar
100 yards the lothar still has about 10ft-lbs....winchester is about 5😶‍🌫️🥴😆

I was shooting 50-yards again this morning. I was focused more on ARA targets. Afterwards I shot a 10-shot with AA 10.3 Field Heavy and another two 5-shot groups with AA 8.44 Field. It seems consistent with what I did in the video.
