Testing the new NSA 20.5 17 at distance

I was finally able to get my hands on some. My testing is fairly preliminary, but it feels pretty good. I won’t really know until I get out a little bit further.

Shooting my trusty RedWolf on high power.

First I warmed up at 100 yards.

Then out to 130

then the group of the day, 10 shots at 130…

can you tell which hole was doubled up?

Wow, for a 177 that's kick but, I am not a slug guy but I knew the 177 slugs would make the little round go a lot further.... If I ever buy a house with a further than 50 yard range like 100 to 200 yards I might start looking to slugs,,,

My bet is on the bottom Left hole being a X2 one, i think 20.5 GR might be too tall a order for a FX barrel, at least the ones that are out now,,,,,, having heard something about a "secret" sauce .177 barrel

What speed did you shoot out of your redwolf with that 20,5gn NSA? Have you try 15 gn one? Just wondering wich one will perform better, as I have .177 rewolf HP myself. BTW middle row the one on the left.

@flintsack I am very envious of your HP .177 shooter, hopefully by mid next year I can have something that can sling .177 slugs. However, if you want I can send you some AMERICAN coinage which could help with accuracy. Ps I went to UVIC.

Black no you cannot have my red wolf even if you went to a Canadian University…

Single shot, I have to estimate about 830 for the 20 green slugs. The 15 grain shoots wonderful in my red wolf and I have done many posts on it.

I believe the hole that was doubled up was the lowest hole on the blown up picture above. It’s easier to see in person. It’s slightly out of round.

Airgun Mike, when I was in high school we used to call things really kick, if they were good. I’ve never heard of anyone else using it that way.

I’ll have to check, I just dialed some clicks until I was on. It drops way way more than the 15g. I’d like to see a 17.5 or an 18.

Flintsack, have you done any tuning to the electronics?

It was tuned for Airgun Nation, , And a video was created of what he did and is available via a link that someone with more knowledge than I have can probably find. 


It was given away by Airgun nation. I bought it from the winner.

The board itself is stock, I do know that the setting was changed by the tuner.

Thats cool, Look at you and your gun all famous n stuff. I may have seen that video, I am actually waiting on one in .22 in a walnut stock from AOA. Depending on how I like it, I may sell off a couple of my old standbys. 

Anyway, it looks like its treating you well, and I may have to get a couple of coins out to put up next to my groups.
