So I went through AAO and got the MOAV XL 2024 for my Texan it says I need 550-600 grain slugs anyone know what I should go with I was checking out accurate molds for maybe a spitzer design

Some acquaintances I seldom see anymore, that are champions with black powder Sharps rifles in long range Silhouette matches, like to use a cast 535 grain spitzer shaped bullet. They all use that same mold whichever it is so it must be a good one. I've watched them get small vertical like 5" or so at 500M with it.

LEE molds makes a 2 cavity .458 500 grain spitzer..like $40.00.. NOE and Arsenal,Accurate molds too...The Lee 2 cavity will probably work for you.
