Texan .50 brake

Had a little time off and spent it in the shed.
The lock nut is 1" hex steel bar stock, the knurled thread projector is the top of an old reloading die (that was easy) and the brake is 8cm~3.15" bit of 40mm~1.57" alu.
Thread is M18x1 as it fir the barrel ever so fine.
Ports are 12mm~.472" and center hole 14mm~.551" and they are angled 20degrees to the rear.

Hope you like.

Chip a heal and cut a toe will get you far in the shed ;-)
Except for a very few select measurements all are ad hoc.
Now that, you have to learn over time.
More than 45 years ago parents and their kinds was heavily into RC cars and boats.
We had few and expensice (long overdue) parts from Gods Own Country, so we had to make do.
That meant me behind the lathe at 9 no more.

The mantra was: Listen to what i say and go do it, when you fail, well discuss it and you'll learn and make it right next time.

It's like going to the store, when my cart is full i'll tally up the content mentally and within a $ i'll know what i have. If they screw up i'll know right away. I might be old and slow but you cant cheat me!

I should have done this in POM, 1/10 machine time. Just for a test but i got carried away.
RM if you're interested shoot me a PM.
