I have met so many great folks at this event ! I may not have made the finails but I feel as though I have won the biggest prize by the new friends I have have made .

Wow Mike, you and Derrick had those Vulcans smoking in the Speed KYL final. Congrats to Derrick for pulling off the win. Lordy, dummy me been burning up Derrick's phone with texts and didn't even know he was at a match until he finally let me know! LOL

I wish I could do the Tommy HPX Space Shuttle booster rocket some justice darn it! I'm a trying hard but lack of experience in BR and learning the rifle, etc, as I go isn't easy!
Congratulations to Bobby C for winning the Silhouette match and special mention to Robert B who shot so great today. I told him that he should sponsor himself, lol. Derrick as well who won the speed event!!
The main thing is we're all having a lot of fun enjoying each other's company plus shootin our favorite air rifles.

I missed a golden opportunity to shoot an extremely rare perfect score last weekend by inadvertently loading the pellet for my first shot for record in the pistol Bench-Rest Silhouette match backwards! Realized it when I saw the pellet veer like a boomerang and miss the 40 yard turkey by about 8". Cleaned the next 39 shots. DOH!!! Lesson learned!
Nevertheless another epic performance for the $21.95 1960's-vintage Crosman 187 Co2 rifle turned regulated HPA pistol. My greatest shade-tree gunsmithing achievement.

I call it 'The World's Most Accurate Air Pistol' Steve, and consider that only a slight exaggeration (out of character for this lyin' Texan). There might be a Thomas pistol or two capable of shooting with it.
So maybe I'll change the name to The World's Most Accomplished Air Pistol.
I haven't gotten around to composing my TEXtreme Bench-Rest Pistol Champion certificate yet. Not sure if I have enough room left on my trophy wall...
Top three- National Champion. Bottom three- State Champion.
Five consecutive five-shot groups at 50 yards averaged .66" center-to-center with 8.4 grain JSBs at 780 FPS, and the smallest group measured .34" c-t-c. Thinking that result possibly a fluke, two subsequent sessions of five consecutive five-shot groups at 50 yards (both) produced .67" c-t-c averages. So yes, the .66" average WAS a fluke!
