Hopefully the SIX PAGE attachment has all necessary TEXtreme Field Target Championships information.

Information revised 2/10/2021 to reflect that all matches are pellets only, no slugs. 

Information revised 2/17/2021 to reflect a 20 foot pound power limit in the Extreme Pistol/Fun Rifle field target match.

Information revised 2/17/2021 to reflect-

1) Shooters may enter only ONE class per match, not two. 2) The Extreme Field Target match on Saturday will be specifically a 35 Foot Pound (maximum) match, the Extreme Field Target match on Sunday will be specifically a 100 Foot Pound (maximum) match, and EFT placings/results will not be the aggregate of two matches. 3) The full-weekend fee is reduced to $60.

Glad to hear you're coming to TFT, Mike.

In case you'd rather not deal with flying with your rig, feel free to send it to RR ahead of time. Of course, either option has advantages and disadvantages. By the way, if you do fly with an airgun, The Voice Of Experience recommends-

1) Print out and carry with you all federal regulations and (your particular) airline's rules pertaining to airguns. Yes, they DO vary.

2) Drain ALL pressure from the gun and bottle/chamber-tube. It would really suck to be incarceratated for checking a pressurized pressure-vessel in your baggage.

3) When/if the TSA dolt... I mean, 'agent' asks, "Is this a firearm?", don't start a discussion/debate/argument about airguns, what an airgun is, how they differ from firearms, and, most importantly, how you are immune from firearms restrictions and an NSA agent should know that because that's their job! 

Trust me (this time), I know of what I speak; having endured just such a scenario started by a travel-mate (despite all my warnings). Suffice to say missed flights, alternate flights, to alternate airports, and (resultant) lay-overs really SUCK!

Today, 2/23/2021, I edited my original post in this thread to reflect changes necessary to accommodate more shooters responding to the TEXtreme Field Target weekend with interest, entries, and commitments to attend. The revisions are reflected in the edited information/rules/registration attachment in my original post.

Those latest changes to the TEXtreme Field Target program are-

1) Shooters may enter only one class per match, not two (as originally stated).

2) For that reason, the Extreme Field Target placings/results are no longer an aggregate of two matches per class, but one match per class. The Saturday TFT match is the 35 Foot Pound Class match, and the Sunday TFT match is the 100 Foot Pound Class match. 

3) Also for that reason, the TFT full-weekend fee has been reduced to $60.

My apologies for the changes, but due to time, scheduling, and venue limits the changes will accommodate more than a handful of shooters that allowing shooters to shoot two classes per match would have imposed.

Sorry to say I will not be making it to your match Ron. I was really excited about being there this year but starting a new job today. I think it’s just to much time to ask off for just starting and all. I’m sure all you good ole boys will still have a great time and now you don’t have to worry about being beat by a girl. Maybe next year if you do it again. Good luck to you all. Hugs and kisses to Mags.

Ron, I understand it’s your tournament, your rules. However, I signed up to shoot a two day event that has been cut in half to a single day.

I haven’t shot many GP AAFTA events but it seems the normal is to shoot a single class both days, not a different class each day...? I had intended to shoot the 100 FPE class both days (EFT), now it’s just Sunday morning vice Saturday and Sunday.

Since I was flying in from San Diego I’m going to have to withdraw. I can’t justify the trip for only a Sunday morning. Good luck, I’m sure it’ll be a fun event, and thanks for spreading the Extreme Field Target high power format.

I was talking about EFT Sat and Sun. Was going to be like a GP event. You shoot your class (100 fpe or 35 fpe) both days and the aggregate score is winner in each class. It was changed to 35 fpe Sat afternoon and 100 fpe Sun. BRS is Saturday evening (still). I was only bringing one gun so that changed my plans. No biggie, I saved on airfare, rental car and hotel room. Plus signed up for the Sonoran Desert GP in two weeks. Logistics much easier SD to Phoenix.

PS., I’m pretty sure Ron identifies as a “he”, not a “they”. . ;) Ron?

Sorry you can't make it to TFT, Blue Baby; we'll miss you. I do understand most folks have higher priorities than shooting BB guns... unlike me! I have been losing sleep about the possibility of being beat by a girl 👩; has Bobby gotten any sleep lately? 😉 

I do identify as a he Mike, ever since reaching puberty at age 23. Not to say I don't enjoy Boys Will Be Girls night at the local pub on Fridays. But that's about the only time I still wear negligee... 👯😳

BTW, I'm beginning to worry that Maggyy identifies as a feline... when she wears negligee.

Thanks very much for putting on this event in Texas. As always, Ranchito Robinson is a great place to shoot FT and I am excited to see if we can grow it a little bigger (I'd like to have a 60 shot match like traditional FT if possible) so we can spend more time shooting. I really enjoyed shooting out to 100 yards which is almost twice the distance of normal FT at 55 yards. Overall, the experience for me was the same as traditional FT just shooting a more powerful rifle, and all of my hard-earned FT skills translated over.

Was really great to shoot against some strong competitors that I've not met before, and I am humbled by the fact that I came out on top this time with my RAW HM1000X in .25 cal.

Once again, many thanks to Ron Robinson for putting on this event.
