Thank you, fellow air gunners

Thank you for reaching out to me.I find myself in a rut. Being a caretaker for so long took some of my joy away.
I just went in my backyard and shot, becoming a hermit.
I post a lot here, but this is an interaction with my keyboard and, of course, you fellow air gunners.

So I will take the advice and get out and meet and shoot with my fellow air gunners,I will climb out of this rut and talk with others instead of myself.
Thank you. I hope 2025 is a great year for everyone here and for peace in the world. (y)

I can relate brother. Wife & I were caretakers for my mom for 12 years before she died. Wife was an absolute angel & truly loved my mom more than her own. The 1st 7 years weren't too bad but the last 5 dealing with Dementia consumed much of our lives. Never forget the 1st time mom asked me who I was & why I was being so nice to her. You MUST make time for YOUR life & do what it takes to not become completely consumed by it. Take care of yourself pal & TRY to remember to do what brings you joy & serenity.

SF area has quite a few shooters , maybe IF your yard is suitable for guests ? OR meet up for a hunt ? Their is FT in your area even if you do not do FT it is fun and entertaining to be there .
I am in a similar situation but not to the point i cannot get out to an Air Gun show a few times a year (2 or 3 days gone )

Just such a horror, and i am very glad my old mother i care for are still razor sharp.
BTW the way people with dementia are treated in Denmark is a outrage, not least when it come to someone getting appointed to take care of their finances ASO, a entity made to take care of that now have a 4 year waiting list

Also a hermit here, well of sorts at least, it seem like the things i want to do and the people i want to be around, well either it do not at all exist in Denmark or my standards are just too high, though that confuse me too CUZ i dont ask very much and for sure nothing out of the ordinary, and i would only take what i give.

I was supposed to get drunk last night, for the first time in 3 years, but my M8 was in a foul mood, and while i am able to deal with that just fine, he just felt like going to bed at 7 in the evening, so i drove home and spent the new year evening in front of the computer screen.

My money / booze are now locked in on July 4, which fortunately have been a merry day in the later years.

I am hoping also this year to get the final 2 lanes in the shot shed open, so it would be a good place to meet fellow shooters, okay the one lane sort of are, but set up with a very short bench for pistol shooting.

You are not alone in the care giver world, we also have a Dementia / Alzheimer’s family member we are caring for. As you know it is a full time job and requires time and finances to give the patient quality of life.. Shooting air guns gives one an outlet for a limited time to to get your mind and body relaxed and have some enjoyment. I appreciate the group on this forum .
