Mr. Link, in your most coveted (at least by me) thread above titled “ Taipan Veteran orings” part #99 the oring that is sandwiched between the valve housing’s tapered end cone part # 48 and part #30 the brass poppet seat has always been the most difficult to remove for me as it is not only difficult to see but resides down in hole making access unpleasant. It is often deformed, hardend and very tight up against the wall of the breech block/ receiver. Perhaps I have been going about it in a manner that is not only inefficient but potentially dangerous to the face of the brass poppet’s sealing surface if I were to slip while trying to extract it. Do you find it easier to simply remove part #30 by removing its grub screw and pushing the part out of the receiver from the hammer/striker side?
