The .177 pellet

Pete and you guys FYI
Get your back stop set up with cardboard I like to use some white paper, put a 4x4 or a brick about one foot in front of paper make sure height is about 1/2 of the paper or even lower , Place a large egg on the 4x4 or brick back up and shoot the egg and it will splatter all over the paper, Now wait for the flys, A hot egg works better than a cold one..
Oh remove the brick or 4x4 , Works great for me. I do have a horse pen about 30 yards off so that helps.

Mike
😂
Don’t have the horses, but I’m going to give it a try, thanks 👍🏻😂

Ok, that's it.
I was wavering, doubting — but thoroughly reading this thread clarified it for me. Thanks, my friends.

I'm buying a .30cal PCP.
With at least 100FPE.

Even I as a non-American have finally understood that:
Bigger IS really Better.

For me anyways. In my current location. With my type of shooting.

Matthias 😉
Matthias,
Don't fall down the .30 rabbit hole.
It's expensive and mediocre. A mugs/thugs calibre. High power hooligans work.
My RTI .30 barrel hardly gets used, I prefer to master the .177 calibre, it surprises people.
Actually it surprises many people, especially the bigger calibre guys. 😉
Go do one of your superb fact, summary essays, this time look at the financial economics of .177.

Ahhh, I hear you say 🤣.
Most days I can beat my buddy at 100m.
My .177 against his Sako 90 308 win.
A 10 cent shot v a 2.5 dollar shot.

Not that I'm a better shot than anyone I know, far from it.
My choice just let's me practice more.🙂

Good luck 🤞
