The $2000 dollar gun.

I have been looking up everything mentioned here in this post. I really really like RAW products. There are made in the good ol U.S.A. Air gun Depot has a video on RAW products it's great. There most expensive one is only $185 over budget.
For you guys that have not ventured into RAW. Watch the video it's funny at first , but the tiny little 50 yard group is serious business to me. Still learning though.

Check with Baker Airguns if interested in a RAW. They had some very good prices on them.

the Truth as I know it,there are many accurate air rifles, many do not cost over $1000,if shooting them less than 50 yards. The figure you have,is that just for the air rifle? Do need a good scope included?
I want a comfortable rifle, easy to aim, easy to hold ,easy to fill and get parts for.
I would go only USA or England brand,RAW or Brocock,I have a Daystate I like.
For short range accuracy from a no fiddle rifle I really like my newer model Challenger model Crosman,it is a PCP target rifle at around $700.it is easy to hand pump and nothing really can beat it at shorter distances.
I would get a Raw because I am old and like traditional styles.
Heck if you're going for 50yds and in and not for competition. There are plenty of sub $600 air rifles.

Oh dang hadn’t heard that about the evos. My epoch has been money. Only had to replace the little oring inside the on off once.
Buddy of mine just got an Evo and it had a major leak on its initial fill. However it was resolved within an hour thru the great support Skout and their distributors offer. Fairly common, just the way an o ring seats apparently.

I picked the Air Arms HFT-500 because it is designed for Hunter Field Target. And my rifle had the regulator and all the modifications professionally done. I had to know I could do any service work and repair and tuning myself. So I picked the Air Arms because the company the products and the community are all there to support my rifle after I make this once in a life time purchase.

Uragan 2 Compact .22 (experienced) 60 shots 15.89gr at 860 with reg at 105b.
90 shots with reg at 83b shooting 15.89gr at 800fps and dead nuts, accurate also 23.7" long
What size bottle is on the Uragan 2 compact .22? I have my M3 at 105 bar and have it cut down to 925 fps (taking the edge off with hammer spring/valve adjuster). The Uragans will always be on my most wanted list. When the 3 comes out I may have to jump on a .25.

Taipan Vet 2 or a BRK Ghost. I paid attention to what you said about being the person that has to save $2k for that ONE gun. I have Impacts, a Skout and Uragans. They all have their strong points but probably not quite as appealing if one of them was my only credit card cleansing gun. Pick a gun that has zero drama ever surrounding it. Drama is easy to live with when you are already shopping for your next $2k gun. Uragans are solid but there is always that balance valve to worry about. I don’t know if it’s even possible to have an issue with a Taipan unless the owner does something stupid chasing big power and you’ll stay under $2k.
Yes I totally agree 👍🏼
The taipan veteran 2 tactical is just AMAZING! Right out of the box!!
Also the BRK Ghost is so accurate and well built ! You just can't go wrong with it!!! It's expensive AirRifles but after you shoot them you understand why it's worth the money 💴

It's a .22L bottle and the barrel is 360mm

I’ve managed to pick up several in the three years or so since I’ve gotten back in. For $2000 you can get a lot and still not spend it all. I stick to users, not collectibles so here we go. I have a Gauntlet and a Gauntlet 2, both in .25. Both took a bit of tinkering but I have about $500 all in and they shoot great. Also have a Benjamin AR 2078A in .177. New with a barrel polish and slight trigger adjust, all before I ever saw it, $350. It has a peep site but can be scoped and other options. Benjamin Trail. Got two new in 22 caliber, $500 total. One lives in my truck. That’s four rifles under $1500. There’s more but you get the idea. You can easily spend more on an excellent gun and stay on budget. I think I have 18 airguns now and less than $3000. The hard part? Picking one.

Check out the classifieds here on the forum, either that or put out a WTB add. I have found a few guns by doing a WTB add, that is how I got my Dawson as well as my AirMaks Katran for my son.

There are plenty that you are able to get with a $2K budget. Or do what many on here have done, start small and work up to the higher end rifles.

Actually I wanted something more like a heirloom, and the Raw would be that
I wanted to leave something to leave my 4 children in my advance directive.
I figure if I get 4 air guns that are worth keeping , and shooting , and I'll take excellent care of them. I can pass them to my children when I go maybe they will keep them maybe sell them. None of us can take anything with us when we go , but I can sure as heck have fun with those heirlooms before I go. Because of all the help here I will get a FX , Brocock , Raw , and a Day state
The Taipan will be an extra little bit of my fun.

I definitely understand that. I have a Daystate AirRanger Extreme .25 if you want want to check it in the classifieds. Doesn't get a ton of shots, but it's accurate, it puts out a lot of energy, and it's in mint condition.
