Brocock/BRK The British Shooting Show... I heard a rumor that..

The British Shooting Show,

It is a rumor and I am not giving away my source,

" BRK will present a revolutionary new airgun concept AND they will be releasing a Ghost 2.0. Do not know the specs at his moment.
Tony Belas did not yet respond to any questions. "

Sounds promising I think, unless it is a hoax. We will see. Wonder what news Daystate have?

Maybe the “supposedly” great news are that its manufacturer finally designed a barrel with different specs which can be fired with both type of ammunition pellets and slugs with good results, something that cannot be done with the barrels that are currently in production. Some characteristics that others high ends airguns in their same category like the AGT Uragan 2, Vulcan 3 and others already can do… no big deal in my opinion.

I’m sorry but Daystate and Brocock take too long to bring ideas to reality. Don’t get me wrong I think they make quality products but the way to selling more product is to keep offering new and improved. At least perceived as new and improved.
When products are rushed to market, then there’s alway room for “new and improved” at the customers expense of course. As opposed to putting out a quality product that “stands on its own merits” no additional “doodads or juju” needed… So Daystate/BRK should sell “more product that need improvements”? Daystate and BRK Brocock do steadily evolve their lineups. FX has conditioned some of its users to believe they need “the improvement of the month”. I like my guns to simply run and run and run, right out the box. All five of my BRKs have done that… Only improvements needed? For the shooter to be steadier.🙏

As I recall it took over a year to get the Delta Wolf from the time I preordered it and probably longer than that for barrel kits to be available. So you’re right there was definitely no rush to bring the gun to market. Then there was the chronograph housing upgrade that needed to be done. Let’s talk about the Ghost. It’s just a D/W without the electronics and it took them how many years to decide to produce it after the Delta?

My thoughts on this,

After reading the "Daystate BRK Performance Center" propaganda (for both the USA & the rest of the planet) , I noticed that:

- the Daystate Wolverine R was mentioned just slightly (something about the existence of a "blue limited edition " ).
- the Daystate Huntsman Revere was not mentioned at all.
The focus clearly was on Daystate electronic guns.

The BRK part:

- only mentioned the BRK Ghost & the BRK XR.

Concluding, it would not surprise me if..:

Daystate;
Will only manufacture air guns with electronics.

Brocock:

Takes over to manufacture former Daystate mechanical air guns.

hence;

The Daystate Wolverine R becomes the BRK Ghost 2.0 ( remember, THE RUMOUR )
The Daystate Huntsman becomes the new BRK XR 2.0

My 2 cts.

So the show has come and passed. I haven’t seen anything new about this. So just rumors I guess.
It was indeed just a rumour, unless you count the new safari bronze copperhead that appeared. The stand looked great with plenty on display, it was a very busy all weekend indeed.
