The Classifieds are horrible right now (is the economy really that bad???)

The Classifieds have quickly become what I call the land of Triple Zeros (0-0-0). In feedback that is, and considerable risk to go along with it. Also way too many airguns being sold for almost new or sometimes more than new price. Krale may have been known to only a few 5 years ago, but not today. No since in buying a Weihrauch or AGN used for more than the price of a new one.

I would disagree and tell you that is an allusion. The Market is in control. How you determine your price is something that is pulled out of thin air.

Reminds me of the Heddy days of gun shows. The same guys selling the same old poop at an elevated price. And this was years after the Assault weapons ban ended and you could by the exact same thing. Even when you told them there priced out of the market, they would not budge.

They would rather pack it up and cart it from show to show, then lower their price. yea, they were in control all right....:LOL::LOL:.

I watched a poster on another forum sell a Marmot Winter Jacket for $300. He literally had it on their Exchange board for over a year. Once every couple of months he would repost...for $300 and that was before the economy went south.

I won't feel sad for all the guys who bought $70K Brodozers and then try to sell them for 10% less than what they paid.

As always, the Market will determine the value, not the seller.
You're absolutely right. The market determines the going price. I'm just saying you're in control of your asking price. Whether you sell it or not depends on the market as you say. I'm saying it's the sellers prerogative to stay on a price. At the same rate the seller can't whine about haggling if he's asking top dollar for it. I think you and I are on the same page but I might not have explained myself clearly. It's always the sellers option to set the price, but he's got to be willing to accept that he'll be haggled and the likelihood he'll be schlepping it home if his prices aren't inline with the market.

It’s a yes/ no question isn’t it ?

Will you accept $ xxx .xx

Yes / No

At .25 % off new , sounds about right for buying used.at the minimum
These are delicate instruments. Easy to foul up with a few seconds of non attention.

As a buyer I know what I will pay. As a seller I’ve taken many a bath as well to “ sell “ something

A little haggling is good for the free market. Airgun owners ( me included ) add some perceived value to our gear.

Fair, of course, hard to gain feedback when you buy or sell stuff and people don't provide any feedback... :)
