Definitely a beautiful rifle series……..stylistically, I see notes of the Kral Bighorn. But far more refined obviously.

I would like to see the BW shoot slugs accurately enough with 17 & 23” barrels. This we do not know yet. We will know when we’ve bought one and figure it our ourselfs🤣
I’m guessing 1:30 twist on the “ART” barrels… so no slugs unless you get the 28in slug barrel (if it ever becomes available). Really don’t understand why Daystate is so intransparent with info on the twist rates and barrels in general. We’ll measure and figure it out anyway, so why not simply tell us. Probably so that a bunch of beta testers buy it without knowing…

I have been dealing with british gunmakers and auction companies for years. Believe it or not , often their customers knows more about the product than the manufacture does. I don’t give a flip for this “research team”. Its definatly not truely gunbuffs. It should take me less than one hour to test everykind of slug and everykind of pellets within one caliber to see whether what works and not works. For Daystate apparently it can take decades to answer simple questions about their own product. Here a simple case: I wrote to Daystate about a year ago in regards to my wish to pay for a selcted upgrade walnut stock on a Redwolf. After some writtings back and forward because the persons I asked didn’t know and didn’t know who to ask. When finally someone from Daystate wrote me back I was asked to direct the question to their wholeseller in Holland(Krale). Why should I ask a supplier and not the manufacture in regards to this?. Daystate makes nice guns and I will get myself a BW. If it doesn’t shoot slugs well enough with shortr barrels I’ll have a barrel made up that will work.

Yeah I hear you… but not telling us the twist of a barrel?! That’s kind of voluntary/intentional… that’s like not giving you the capacity of the mag or air cylinder. A simple spec that should be out there before people buy and figure it out for themselves.

Not knowing barrel twist rate is the #2 reason i will not be ordering a DRST

Dunno about today but yesterday FX them self dont even list their new rifle,,,, WTF to me
They do though, right? Everything is stx superior (1:24 in most calibers) and only the 700mm heavy (1:16 or 1:18 depending on caliber).

I am locked to .177 so it is 1:18 or 1:18 heavy, new barrel supposedly 1:16 and that is what i would want, and i am not going to pay 100 - 150 USD for the barrel i want on the side.

I have the two old barrels and they have been OK to me, but with something new on the table that is what i would want, though i still await my friend peter / viking airgunners report on these, not least with my favored Zan
