The DIY RCBS Rebel/GMI swagging kit

I agree that there are many more RockChuckers out there due to their longevity in the reloaders world (I have one from the 1970's for instance). IMO, the 'new' ones are nowhere near as good because they changed the primer catcher and primer feed to a much less user-friendly set up (slower primer feed by a long shot).

When will the stated dies become available, do you know, please?

When did they change over the design of the primer catcher. In the last 20 years?

Is there anything we can do to get GMI to move forward on producing these dies?
They already make the dies. And the Rebel kit will accept them. They seem more responsive and quicker turn around time that some others out there. I hear some are 6 months out on a slug die.
The Rebel is heavier, stronger and brand new compared to the Chucker while still being made in the USA.

Was not aware the rebel press was beefier. I see that now on their site and it has a zerk fitting that I wish the RC had.
I actually did the diy conversion originally on the RC press. After talking with the guys on one of the other threads decided to try it again with the Rebel press. The Rebel press is definitely beefier and ended up being a better fit for the swaging. The RC press definitely worked but I feel quite a bit better about the size of the Rebel. Also the conversion was significantly easier with the zerk fitting.

When I stated the 'new' ones, I meant the RockChucker Supreme, which took over the RockChucker of old.
My buddy has one and there is a primer catcher issue, they pop out almost ± 40%. The primers fall through due to the wobbling of the catcher riser....poor design
The primer arm only holds a single primer, they have done away with the tube feeder.
Video of the issue....

Hello @Revoman , GMI is already making the dies, These are standard dies, you can text GMI on the website I will ask the team to make the option visible,

CAD files here for anyone wanting to tackle it on their own. I'll do a more thorough write-up here shortly. From a DIY perspective I wouldn't recommend making the ram or knuckle from scratch. But rather I would use the attached CAD files to give you the necessarily measurements to appropriately modify the existing ram and knuckle.

Inside Chip’s shop right now.
