FX The DRS TACTICAL HAS BEEN REVEALED.

So new skin....nothing else?
There definitely seems to be improvement in efficiency - huge improvement…

Just copied this spec sheet from the FX website for the original DRS. Note that the air capacity (260cc) is the same/similar to the new DRS Tactical.

However, the DRST boasts shot counts that are near TRIPLE (in .177) and DOUBLE (in .22) of the original DRS. Maybe I’m reading this incorrectly, but I don’t think so - huge improvement in shots per fill seems to be stated …

Apparently it uses an AR15 pistol grip and mil-spec buffer tube... So you should be able to upgrade with a wide choice of AR15 buttstocks and pistol grips, which is a big plus. I've got the B5 buttstock (on an AR) that Utah has as an accessory, it provides a much better cheek rest than a lot of other buttstocks.

BUT, I wonder if it can use AR15 forends? If so, what is the O.D, of the Shroud/Barrel/Suppressor?

After carrying an M16 for too long, I had no desire to carry one as a civilian, but I've slowly succumbed to the platform due to the ergonomics and the availability of buttstocks/handguards/grips that are a major improvement over what we carried.

Wow... you will look so cool with your fake AR-15. Until you actually start shooting that is...

What's nice about the DRS classic is that looks like a traditional hunting rifle. Y'know... the type you need to cock between each shot.

With this thing it will just look silly. A huge miss from FX if you ask me.

I think I found my next airgun purchase. That mil-spec top rail would work for iron sights even buis , backup iron sights . New designed plenum, long arca rail and a nice shot count . I really like the AR platform and have plenty of extra goodies. By the time I save enough or sell off some extra toys they might be available. They kept it light weight as well . Sweet !
