So far only two people have signed up for the next match on 4/23. At this rate we might have to accept that FT in Maryland is no longer a viable option. It's sad because we have a great course, but if nobody wants to shoot, the end is coming soon.

Meanwhile I am still hoping to find people in MN. I think you'll are a closed group. I have a friend active in archery they just had a tournament in MN with 300+ people in it.

Is the entry cost for Archery lower? Most FT match directors would be thrilled but overwhelmed to get 300+ people.

Probably, but not for my friend...he has a lot of archery equipment.

The crazy thing about the niche appeal of FT is that, compared to 50/75/100 yard fire arm ranges, which is what we have at IWLAWAC in Damascus MD, FT is a much more challenging sport for shooters who would like to improve their skills. Those lucky to have ranges with 300 and 1000 yard targets are comparable in difficulty level (I'm talking about AAFTA rules here, with 12 and 20 ft/lb limits) but the cost to shoot per round is much less expensive for a FT rifle. One difference is that the entry price is higher for a reasonably good PCP or springer and to that need to add a scope. Archery - I've no idea of equipment costs.

I checked the AAFTA web site; there is a FT club in your state ... but no idea how far it would be for you.
