"Pellethunter"The gun l like the most is always goin to be the one I don't have in my imediate possession for I have a disease terrible addiction for whitch we all know the only cure is a new air gun new scope pellets help take the edge off betweem guns but right now it's currantly the FX Impact I decided that was taking to long and needed a "fix" sooner so bought the wildcat too now found out may cause even though it scheduled mid April take wk to procces test another to ship out I should be one of the first 20 deposits so now I think I need to buy another one to get me to May small air rifle purchase just to help

Maybe it was a trick in the lighting, but the eye of the cottontails appeared so much larger when observed beside the front sight of my Sheridan Bluestreak. I only used open sights on that rifle as scopes were not in the picture just yet. Hits in the brainpan of these rabbits, at ranges extending to eighty yards, made sounds like dropping a dozen eggs! The brain hits resulted in almost instantaneous expiration.
If memory serves me accurately, I could pump up that rifle ten times without damaging any seals.

I've owned a lot of guns (not a lot compared to many) but am down to two at the moment: BSA Scorpion and BSA Ultra. Both are 12fpe guns. I can crank them up if I like but the Scorpion is the one I change the power on the most. The reason I like BSA's is because their barrels are accurate and not pellet fussy while at the same time being very easy to work. I've had other guns I wouldn't even think of working on at my skill level but I've stripped my BSA's down multiple times and they are very easy to put back together.



This is the stock on my BSA Ultra though the stock is darker now from being oiled. (I bought the stock they used for the picture)

Reaper, you forgot to mention that you made that shot without the stock, just by holding the bare action,
btw wasn't that 72 yards just a few months ago ?

and you need tell the forum dwellers how your P-12 goes from being a 30 FPE gun with JSB to a 60+ FPE gun just by using .22 LR ammo,....no wander it's your favorite That's a magical gun ;)

C'mon guys, lets keep it clean. Patrick if you've got a .22 caliber P-12 shooting 60+FPE I'm sure some other member would like to hear what you did to accomplish this.

The Rifle that I like the most is one that I purchased as an ugly duckling and changed it into a Swan. The rifle is a FX400 Sporter. I first saw this rifle in the used gun section on the Airguns of Arizona Website. The ad said that the rifle stock had been hydro-dipped in the American flag, and that the bottle and barrel were done in carbon fiber graphics. The action was like new and the price was incredibly cheap. So I thought to myself, there must be something really wrong with the gun for it to be selling for nearly 1/2 off. I called the people at AoA and asked them why it was so cheap? They told me that the graphics were not to everyone's liking and there is a high chance that I would hate it. When I ask them what kind of wood was underneath the hydro-dipped graphics....the response was Walnut.
I figured I could strip whatever graphics were on the rifle down to the walnut, and then recondition the stock.
I boought it....and when it arrived, I could immediately see what the boys at AoA were trying to tell me!!
This is what I received

I went to work right away and stripped off all the graphics on the stock, but left the carbon fiber on the bottle and the barrel.
After a few weeks worth of sanding and oiling the stock.
My hard effort paid off and I was left with this;

Because of all the work I put into her,...She is my Favorite Rifle

I would imagine the value, not only to you but in resale has gone up as well. Good job on that stock it is a beauty :)
