MRA Match Report for 10/29/2022 Match Location at the club Shotgun Range (map)
Saturday October 29th was a cold morning and turned out to be a perfect day. As I waited for contenders to arrive and register, I had the shotgun house toasting up so any one could come in and warm up after chilling out at the sight-in range. We had a total of 16 competitors, most of which were shooting Hunter PCP. After registering, and giving the shooters meeting we headed into the woods course which is the Yellow course.
As I stated before, It was a perfect day, the weather was 36 degrees in the am, but by the 10:00 it was in the 60’s and little to no wind. This was a 68 shot match with 17 lanes including 1 standing lanes and 1 kneeling lane. Sight-in began at 8:00 am. I was able to spread each 2 man squad, 1 lane apart to keep things moving. Other than the cold, things were looking promising for some Personal Bests. With all that being said we had some pretty sweet scores!
Once on the lanes, we had 1 cold line to check a target dispute. Other than that things went extremely well and all seemed to enjoy the course. We had a couple of new shooters, first time ever shooting Feild Target, Emily Cieslak and Calvin Ciesak Jr. ,they definitely had a fun time, leaving the range with smiles. I think we have some new FT addicts!. We had a great showing from the Nenamesseck FT crew, and another welcome guest, Mr. Bill Day who made it down from Hollis ME it is always a pleasure to see Bill thanks for making it buddy!. There was also another important milestone Mr. Chsz DiCapua will be moving into the WFTF class and this was his last day with the harness selling it to Bill Day. Amazon Totally let me down, I did not recive the awards I order for the match and am still waiting and can’t get a refund uhgg.. So we didn’t sent anyone home with a medal but I had some cool prizes to choose fro, an Air Arms pellets as well as a couple of water bottles, also had some of the Cap, Some AA 8.44 Below are the scores and equipment list. Also a HUGE thanks to John Eroh, Leo Gonzales, who are always helping me out.
